Someday

Mom,

Your house on earth is empty and bare. Your "things" you owned on earth are divided up- shallow reminders of your life with us. No more dinners around the table or laughter in those halls. You've gone to a new home- not Eileen's - your own real home in heaven with Jesus. Someday, Mom, we will join you. It won't be long. After all, that's our real home too and we are looking forward to seeing you and seeing Jesus face to face. We are getting tired but like you we are going to persevere until we have become everything God has called us to be. We miss you very much but it won't be long and we will be coming home too.

Someday, Mom, we (those who have accepted Jesus as their Savior and Lord) will walk on those streets of gold and talk with Jesus face to face,
Where there will be no tears or sorrow, heartache or pain,
No cold feet or hands,
No disease or discomfort,
No parting and harsh words,
No misunderstandings,
No goodbyes,
No loneliness.

On that God appointed day, God's heart will beat with joy and angels will be scurrying with excitement. It will the day we arrive home.
On that special day we will be carried home to heaven by:
a chariot like Elijah
escorted by an angel
escorted by the sweet spirit of God through the tunnel called death into the glorious light of His presence
Or met by Jesus himself who will take us (his precious one) to heaven
Or not die but at the twinkling of an eye instantly meet Jesus in the air (1 Thess. 4:16,17)

That planet Heaven will be so bright and so big! Like the tabernacle and temple, there will be three parts to planet Heaven. Outside the beautiful New Jerusalem (described in Revelation as being about the size of the United States) will be beautiful areas full of trees, mountains, rivers, lakes, flowers, and animals. All of the creation of heaven will sing and praise the Lord. No colors on earth can describe it. No sounds on earth can compare! No sweet odors can compare with the fragrance of heaven!

The heavenly "capital" of heaven - the New Jerusalem will be surrounded by twelve gates on which are written the twelve tribes of Israel. (Rev.21:12) Those gates are made of pearls. On the twelve foundations of the city are written the twelve apostles. Each foundation is made of precious stones (Rev. 21:19-20). The river of life will be seen in the city coming from the very center of heaven from the throne. The tree of life will be beside this river and will yield 12 fruits - a different one every month! The leaves of the trees will be for the healing of nations. Perhaps we- God's precious ones his jewels - will eat of this tree on our way to the throne! But as heavenly gates are open to us, we will hear the sound of silver trumpets and shofars blowing. Voices will be shouting and praising! We will be coming home! Dad will be waiting, handsome maybe looking like 25 or 30 again. You, Mom, beautiful with dark hair and sparkling eyes full of joy and love will be dressed in white better than any wedding day. Sylvia will be there, beaming, bouncing up and down in excitement! Karl, muscular and strong, with a boyish grin but looking like a young man in his 20's will be waiting too. Grandma and Grandpa will be there shining with love with arms wide open. We will see our reflection on those golden streets transparent as glass, as clear as a mirror.

Jesus will be waiting with wide open arms. Oh, his eyes will be like pools of mercy and truth burning with the fire of his intense love! We will be drawn to him and kneel before Him. He will embrace us and in that moment, it will be worth it all. All that pain, all that sorrow, persecution, stress, and trouble gone and nothing but pure delight and endless bliss!! Oh, the praise and worship as the saints and angels flow in unending adoration of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!

The throne will be high above everything else in heaven. But there will be no difficulty climbing its heights. Our feet will be like hinds' (deer's ) feet and it will feel as if we are propelled by wings. The intensity of the fire of that throne will be so bright and so glorious! But we will have new eyes and we will behold him- the glorious Father, God Almighty! He will be very big, and so awesome, and yet so kind, and loving!

Jesus will give some the crown of life- the lover's crown (James 1:12) not given to all believers but those who hath faithfully endured trials. Others will get other crowns or rewards for faithfulness. And then we will individually do what we have been trained to do on earth- that for which we were created!

So, saints if burdens seem heavy and trials long, rejoice! He is coming soon to take us home! It won't be long. Jesus, tell Mom I miss her and I am coming home!

Love, Edith

P. S. My mom went to be with the Lord Nov. 1, 2005 (my husband Wayne's birthday). This is my conception of heaven based on my study but we all know that it will be billions times better than anything we can come up with in our minds. It will be wonderful! I missed seeing Mom one more time. It is so easy to procrastinate and put other things first! Let's not do that with the Lord. BE READY. HE'S COMING SOON!
