Heart and Joy Scriptures

PS 51:1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet came unto him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba. Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
PS 51:2 Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
PS 51:3 For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.
PS 51:4 Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.
PS 51:5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me.
PS 51:6 Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.
PS 51:7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
PS 51:8 Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.
PS 51:9 Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.
PS 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
PS 51:11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.
PS 51:12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

PS 147:3 He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.

PR 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

PR 14:30 A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones.

PR 15:13 A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.

PR 17:22 A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.

JER 15:16 Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.

JER 29:13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart

EZE 36:26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I

HEB 10:22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
HEB 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession (confession- saying what God says) of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)


CHOOSE JOY!

NE 8:10 Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

PS 5:11 But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.
PS 5:12 For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield. (Joy is a choice. We can be joyful because we are trusting in the Lord and because we love his name. We rejoice because he favors us.)

PS 16:11 Thou wilt show me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

PS 27:6 And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.

PS 30:5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

PS 32:10 Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about.
PS 32:11 Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.

PS 42:2 My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?
PS 42:3 My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where is thy God?
PS 42:4 When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday.
PS 42:5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.
PS 42:6 O my God, my soul is cast down within me: therefore will I remember thee from the land of Jordan, and of the Hermonites, from the hill Mizar.
PS 42:7 Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.
PS 42:8 Yet the LORD will command his lovingkindness in the daytime, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life.
PS 42:9 I will say unto God my rock, Why hast thou forgotten me? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
PS 42:10 As with a sword in my bones, mine enemies reproach me; while they say daily unto me, Where is thy God?
PS 42:11 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

PS 43:4 Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.

PS 126:5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

PS 132:9 Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness; and let thy saints shout for joy.

PR 15:23 A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it! (Good, wholesome words produce joy!)

ISA 12:2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.

JER 31:13 Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, both young men and old together: for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow.

HAB 3:17 Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:
HAB 3:18 Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

JOH 15:11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
JOH 15:12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. (When we are thinking and doing for others and loving them, we will have joy)

1PE 1:8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

1JO 1:3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
1JO 1:4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.

PRACTICE JOY!
1. Smile
2. Say Hallelujah\
3. Yell WHOOOO
4. Shout praises
5. Jump
6. Run
7. Dance
8. Combine some

In the Natural
1. DO something for someone else every day. Make your husband oatmeal, a sandwich, or a simple meal. Write a card to a sick or elderly person. Love one another that your joy may be full!

2. Eat at least 2 meals (nutritious) a day whether you feel like it or not.

3. Watch Christian TV or listen to Christian music. Sing every day.

4. Read and memorize one scripture or part of a scripture daily. Go over it and over it.

5. Set a timer and try to work at least one half hour. You can do ALL things through Christ. Take one small section.

6. Thank Him for saving you and count your many blessings!
