Confessions Against Fear
II Timothy 1:7 "For God hath not given us
a spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."
Confess: I have a disciplined mind. Your lovingkindness and tender
mercies surround and uphold me. I am strong in the Lord and the power
of his might.
1 John 4:18 "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth
out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect
in love."
Confess: Thank you Lord that your perfect love dispels all fear. I
trust in your unfailing love.
Luke 12:4,5,6,7 "And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid
of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can
do. But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after
he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear
him. Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them
is forgotten before God: But even the very hairs of your head are all
numbered. Fear not therefore:ye are of more value than many sparrows."
Confess: I fear (reverence) you, Lord, not man. Thank you for your
protection and provision.

all these things shall be added unto you. Fear not little flock, for it
is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom."

to meet my every need: emotional, physical, and spiritual.
Hebrews 13:5-6 "Let your conversation be without covetousness;
and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never
leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my
helper, I will not fear what man can do unto me."
Confess: Lord, you have said that you will never leave me or forsake
me. Thank you that you are my helper. I will not fear what man can do
to me for no weapon formed against me can prosper.
Genesis 15:1 b (to Abram)..."Fear not, Abram, I am thy shield,
and thy exceeding great reward."
Confess: Lord, I am the seed of Abraham by faith. You are my shield
and my reward.
Genesis 26:24 (to Issac)...."I am the God of Abraham thy father:
fear not, for I am with thee, and will bless thee, and multiply thy seed
for my servant Abraham's sake."
Confess: Thank you Lord, that my seed is being multiplied.
Numbers 14:9 (Joshua and Caleb to the unbelieving Israelites who
were afraid to go to the promised land because of the giants)"Only
rebel not ye against the Lord, neither fear ye the people of the land;
for they are bread for us: their defense is departed from them, and the
Lord is with us: fear them not."
Confess: You, Lord, are with us and in Jesus' name every enemy (name
them) is bread for me.
Numbers 20:3 (Instructions to Israelites to not be afraid when
going to battle) "...Hear O Israel, ye approach this day unto battle
against your enemies: let not your hearts faint, fear not, and do not
tremble, neither be ye terrified because of them. For the Lord your God
is he that goeth with you; to fight for you against your enemies, to save
you."
Confess: Thank you Lord that you are fighting my enemies.
Deuteronomy 31:6 (Moses to Israel) "Be strong and of a good
courage, fear not nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is
that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee."
Confess: I am strong and courageous in the Lord. He is with me and
will not fail or forsake me.
Deuteronomy 31: (Moses to Joshua) "...Be strong and of a good
courage: for thou must go with this people unto the land which the Lord
hath sworn unto their fathers to give them; and thou shall cause them
to inherit it. And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee, he will
be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not neither
be dismayed."
Joshua 1:8-9 (God to Joshua) "This book of the law shall not
depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night,
that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein:
for then shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good
success. Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be
not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee
whithersoever thou goest."
Confess: Thank you Lord for your Word. I choose to meditate and think
on your Word. You said that you would then make my way prosperous and
I would have good success. I will not be dismayed. I am strong in the
Lord and his Word.
Joshua 8:1 "Fear not, neither be dismayed, take all the people
at war with thee, and arise go up to Ai, see, I have given into thy hand
the king of Ai, and his people, and his city, and his land."
Confess: I will not fear and be dismayed after defeat. You will help
me this time to triumph.
I Chron.28:20 (David to Solomon) "Be strong, and of good courage,
and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the Lord God, even my God, will
be with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast
finished all the work for the service of the house of the Lord."
Confess: I am starting a new path (vocation, calling, job, school etc.)Lord.
You were with Solomon and gave him knowledge and wisdom. You helped him
establish a great kingdom. Likewise help me to fulfill my destiny. But
give me a heart to put you first. Give me a new heart to love you totally
surrendering my purposes for yours- I lay my idols, my ambitions on the
altar, Lord.
II Chron.20:15b and 17 -(Jahaziel to King Jehosophat)- ...."Be
not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle
is not yours, but God's.....Ye shall not fight in this battle, set yourselves,
stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you, O Judah and
Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them: for
the Lord will be with you."
Confess: Lord, though it seems all are against me (or circumstances)you
are with me. The battle is not mine but yours. I will stand still quietly
trusting you and praising you and you will be my deliverance.
Psalm 23:4 "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow
of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff
they comfort me."
Confess: Even facing death or destruction, I will not fear. You are
my good shepherd. You are with me and you comfort me.
Proverb 1:33 "But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely,
and shall be quiet from fear of evil."

studying your Word so that I will be guided by you. You promised that
if I listen and obey you I will dwell safely and my heart will be at rest
because I fear no evil.
Proverbs 3:5-8 "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and
lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge (know
him intimately) him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine
own eyes: fear (reverence, being careful not to displease Him) the Lord,
and depart from evil, it shall be health to thy navel and marrow to thy
bones."
Confess: I will trust in you Lord will all my heart. I won't lean on my
intellect but I will be sensitive to your voice in my heart. I will draw
close to you and you will direct my paths. I won't be cocky and think
I can handle my own affairs without your help. As I walk in godly fear
and depart from evil, you will bless me with supernatural health.
Proverbs 3:21-26 "My son, let not them (wisdom and knowledge)
depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion: so shall they
be life unto thy soul and grace to thy neck. Then shalt thou walk in thy
way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble. When thou lieth down, thou
shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be
sweet. Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the
wicked, when it cometh. For the Lord shall be thy confidence, and shall
keep thy foot from being taken."
Confess: You are my wisdom and because you are in me I choose to walk
in wisdom and discretion. Favor surrounds me because I walk in your wisdom
and protection. I will not stumble because you hold me up. Though fearsome
things come, I will not fear. You are my confidence and you will keep
me, help me.
